HOW TO USE THE NOTEBOOKS

Montessori schools are unique from other Broward County schools.  They have two grades in each classroom.  The progam on this website was set up for a Montessori public school setting.  You will have to make adjustment from what you see here to fit your own school's situation.  This school's own Syllabus was newly created each year by the Program Chairperson for the school.  That ensured that the students do not see the same print two years in a row.

Please consult the Syllabus for your grade.  After each print selection there is a number in parentheses.  That number corresponds to the County Notebook by Grade that the print's information will be found in.  Click on that index page to open the notebook.  You may copy the needed print information, artist information, thumbnail picture, and suggested questions and print them for your educational use only.  Be sure to edit the questions you copy to fit your new combination of prints because the questions in the notebook pertain to those pairs of prints found in the book.  Your pairing from the syllabus will be different.

A good suggestion to prepare for your presentation is to use the notebook information to make brief notes for yourself on 3x5 index cards.  That way you will avoid having to read your whole discussion from paper, making your presentation style more personable.
